Solo across the Pacific Ocean: row for Ukraine

Long story short:

You have the possibility to contribute to the unique journey in its route and mission. In doing so, You could symbolically paddle across the Pacific Ocean together with traveler Aurimas Mockus.

And now the long part:

Zega Support Organization is a fund from Northern Ireland with a mission to support local schools, community groups, and businesses in need. It did not remain indifferent to the war in Ukraine – since its start, it helped those who voluntarily remained in the country or could not leave for other reasons – advised on job search issues, took care of integration into social life, organized leisure activities for young people, etc. And that’s why this organization decided to contribute to the noble purpose of traveler Aurimas Mockus.

Since the beginning of the war, he has been actively supporting Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, transporting equipment, machinery, and humanitarian aid, as well as evacuating people and animals from the war zones.

Aurimas also was one of the first to bring aid to Ukrainians as soon as the war started. So far, he has traveled more than 10 times in war zones with buses and trucks carrying humanitarian aid.

While traveling to Ukraine, he also created a documentary called “War awakened the World”:

Seeing slowing pace of aid to Ukraine, Aurimas decided to take the initiative to prevent the world from getting tired of helping a country torn by war.

In September 2024, Aurimas will start his row across the Pacific Ocean in a single-seater boat built by Ukrainian. Across the world's largest ocean, he will carry a very important message – “Lithuania stands together”. It is meant to honor the Ukrainians who died in the war and to remind the world that we cannot stop helping a country that is fighting for the freedom of us all.

This journey is unique not only in its message but also in its route of 12,000 km – by crossing the Pacific Ocean from California (USA) to Brisbane (Australia), Aurimas will become the first person in the world to do so.

Finances play a crucial part in him being able to carry out the journey. So, Zega Support Organization invites you to contribute to this cause and in doing so to symbolically paddle across the Pacific Ocean together with Aurimas.
