Solo sailor attacked and robbed by pirates

Magnus Reslow, 64, a Swedish solo sailor, was attacked by pirates at the coast of Colombia in late December 2023. Three times pirates entered his small yacht, beat him up and tried to stab him, before he was rescued by the coast guard. Unfortunately the pirates stole nearly everything from his boat. Sails, fenders, blocks, batteries, spare parts, tools, everything of worth and even his dirty clothes. After the coast guard towed him to Santa Marta, Reslow spent one night in hospital and is now recovering in the marina, where he is allowed to stay for free until he can continue sailing.
Reslow is a low budget sailor, living on boats for 30 years. His biggest lost is his sewing machine. For his income he used to sew biminis, sprayhoods, lazy bags and covers for other sailors. Reslow would like to buy a new sewing machine to earn some money for his income. But he is completely broken. Luckily sewing machines aren’t that expensive in Colombia - they cost around 500 USD. But too much for Reslow to effort.
