Solomon Islands - Children's Book Drive

'Free and fair access to books - to reading - is a right and one we should fight for'. By donating to this book drive, you are supporting children's education and development within Solomon Islands' rural communities.

The Integrated Livelihoods Project is working to support several local communities in Western Province, Solomon Islands, to achieve their livelihood goals in the face of the many challenges posed by global change. During our first visit to partner communities, community members highlighted the need for access to educational resources within their schools. To help provide a direct contribution to the communities we operate within, we request donations to acquire educational resources for children aged 2-18.

*Donations can be made directly in Townsville (e.g., secondhand books, stationery, art materials) or in cash via this fundraiser. Your cash donations will be directly handled by project members who will purchase educational materials within Australia. Your donations will additionally be used to support shipping fees to Solomon Islands during the next trip to partner communities planned for February 2023.
