About the Owner
Hello there, my name is Ellen Stevens, I’m a quirky, kind, hard-working person who gets really excited about progress, science, and talent. I love learning and information, it’s my favourite.
I have a degree in psychology and many years of experience working in publishing.
After making the difficult decision to move on from my latest main client, I decided to focus on my passion project– which I believe is essential in guiding modern culture and narratives in a positive and productive direction.
The funds will help with establishing a more secure home office, various business initiatives and process costs, as well as the ability to offer paid contractor roles.
Falling into the 'neurodiverse' category, it’s a wonderful thing for me to be able to work remotely. It would be really helpful to have some support for that.

Revenue/Growth
The revenue model pillars are: Selling advertising space, merch, and obtaining grants. Perhaps the inclusion of some type of fee-based service for academic institutions looking to advertise their research in an easy-to-understand way.
I think there is a unique opportunity to create partnerships with educational institutions and industry leaders.
I hesitate to make any unrealistic projections for revenue. The purpose of this business is to publicize genuinely good content and potential solutions to complex problems.
Hopefully, this is a concept that excites you.
In the future:
This business is currently a sole proprietorship based in Canada. As it grows, I will incorporate it.
Some potential directions are:
- Increase in nerdy gear for sale. I’m finding a lack of online shops for that lately. Having a nerdy family… those were my favourite places to check for gifts. It would be nice to have more brain candy gear to choose from, especially during the holidays. I have lots of ideas and this will tie in nicely with the vibe of the magazine.
- Expand the type of content published to include videos.
- Welcome collaboration of other platforms and leaders.
- A connection place for research and investors.
- The hub of brain candy, as it were.
- Those with PhDs can find meaningful work.
- In further renditions of the business it may act as a hub of sorts to bring together researchers, business minds, political leaders, creators, to brainstorm how to fix what is often sold as 'unfixable.'
- As it grows, maybe more travel-based, more niche research.
- A place where researchers can publish easy-to-understand summaries of their academic projects and potentially get paid.
Overall the goal is to become a notable publication that celebrates knowledge, solutions, and good information. I think there is room for that in the universe.
Embrace thinking differently with a solution focus. That’s it.
