Somalia Famine Appeal 1000x10

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

My dear brothers and sisters in Islam & humanity, my name is Sedyeh Isman and I'm fund raising for the current famine crisis that is happening in Somalia.

Somalia is on the brink of a catastrophic famine due to climate change. More than 90% of the country has been affected by drought in recent times with the problem becoming increasingly more dire!

Hundreds of thousands of people , many of whom are young children are facing HUNGER and the imminent threat of STARVATION!!!

The story is all too familiar as we have been here before! In the early 1990's & In 2011 Somalia also faced a similar situation with hundreds of thousands of people ( many children) lost their lives due to STARVATION. And we are sleep walking into this disaster yet again.

My objective is simple & ambitious.

It's the ' Product' Model : 1000 × 10

If 1000 people Donate £10 ( that's less than a price of a Nando's meal!) We could SAVE LIVES.

The target IS TEN THOUSAND POUNDS and I believe with full conviction that collectively we can raise the money because we care and if history has taught us anything , we need to act NOW before it's too late!

In a hadith it was narrated the prophet Muhammad (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, " Which charity Is the best?" He ( SAW) replied, " Providing water"- ( Abu Dawud).

Helping to provide water during a drought is the best form of Sadaqah Jariyah. And please remember that it not only benefits the people but you will be rewarded for it also. It's a win win!

Each one of us can make a difference but together we can bring about REAL CHANGE!
