Somatic Experiencing BIPOC Assistants Travel Fund

With this grassroots fundraiser, we ask you to support our efforts to broaden access to trauma healing.

Your donations will cover travel costs and help alleviate some of the financial burden placed on individual BIPOC Assistants to make these groundbreaking changes within Somatic Experiencing and to the varied landscape that is trauma healing.

As well, Somatic Experiencing learners from both BIPOC-only and other training cohorts are seeking personal sessions along with consults from BIPOC SE Approved Providers at all levels of training.

Your contributions will support a critical mass of BIPOC Somatic Experiencing Practitioners to assist with forthcoming SE trainings and more of us to move towards becoming Approved Providers at all levels, which is quite a long road.

By supporting this GoFundMe campaign, you are contributing to a greater number of BIPOC practitioners sharing Somatic Experiencing with wider reach, and all of our abilities to better serve a multiplicity of historically underserved communities to heal from trauma.

Example expenditures:

$65 ground transport one-way between ATL airport and training location

$350+ car rental for the duration of the 4-day training

$175+ one night hotel at training site

$500-800 one round-trip flight

Funds raised will be distributed equitably to BIPOC Assistants who wish to receive funds to cover travel expenses.

With any additional money remaining or donations exceeding our initial goal, this BIPOC Assistants’ Travel Fund will be held and used towards BIPOC Assistants’ travel costs to support forthcoming BIPOC modules. (At this time, the next in-person module for the Atlanta BIPOC cohort is planned for Intermediate III.)
