Some Have Asked

Hey y’all, this is Rebecca. Some of you asked how you could help when Mel had her first (emergency) surgery.  We really have tried to go without having to have  anyone’s help, but now we’re kind of in need of a little bit of assistance for just a minute. We wouldn’t ask unless we really needed it. We had savings when this all started, but that has been depleted with medical bills and medical supplies to keep Mel well until her colostomy reversal surgery this Thursday. 

 We found out today that I may have to have surgery for something completely different. Thank God it is summer, and I get paid 12 months out of the year. 

Over the last couple of months her workplace has been spectacular and helped us out by some donating sick days, and she being able to work half days when she was able to go back. At this point she is going to be out of work for at least three weeks without pay and then return to half days for a while. 

This is not the rest of our life, just a little help for now.
