Some Heroes Don’t Wear Capes

As many of you know, our good, bestest friend, Ulysses Reeves (who is more like family to his viciously loyal set of friends), suffered a very difficult medical set back recently. The incredible Alicia VanKoughnet has been by his side nearly every day, updating the masses, missing time with her kid, driving long distances between cities, caring for him in a way no one else is able to, due to Covid. She’s my personal hero right now. She has literally grown up with our dear friend for the past 40 years (even though she’s only 29 ). Being the selfless and wonderful person she is, she has not reached out for any help for herself. This is where we come in. Gas prices are insane and that’s the biggest reason for this ask. But then we realized there is a whole ton of other expenses we haven’t taken into account, such as:
1. hospital parking
2. meals because she had to eat on the fly
3. care giving items and toiletries for Uly that she has been purchasing out of pocket
4. dinners for her kid when she gets home late
5. emergency lodging due to weather
6. Maybe a bottle of wine??
Here’s the thing, we all wish we could do more to help right now, and here’s how we do it. Let’s lighten this genuinely amazing woman’s load, and make what she’s doing just a little bit easier.
If you don’t want to contribute money here are other options to help:
1. Gas cards
2. gift certificates for food or restaurants
3. gift certificates to shoppers or grocery stores
4. pre paid credit cards
5. toiletry items for men (lotion, shampoo, chap stick etc)
Uly is making progress slowly, but there is still a long fight ahead. If you’re able, please help.
Thank you Alicia and Uly we love you!!!! ❤️❤️
