Some hope for Hope...

My name is Hope Bishop and I have been in active recovery from drugs and alcohol for a little over 7 years now. I am thankful every day for my second chance at life. I work in Asheville as a Certified Peer Support Specialist supporting others by meeting them where they are at. Sometimes that means out in the community which requires reliable transportation. It is a job that I love! I am disabled (mental health) and as a result I am only able to work part time, about 15 hours per week. Like many others I live paycheck to paycheck, if nothing goes wrong. Since I live in Candler, I need reliable transportation to be able to get back and forth to work in Asheville about 30 minutes away. I have been driving a 20-year-old Ford Taurus for about 3 years now, it doesn’t have heat (or AC) which is a little tough in the winter, but I deal with it. However, I was in a car accident on November 2nd and my car got severely damaged in the front end. Because it is an old car my insurance is liability only, so nothing to cover the car. Fortunately, I was not injured, and I am very thankful for that blessing. However, I now need financial help to cover the cost of repairs. I was able to borrow the money for the front-end repair from a relative whom I must pay back. My prayers are that I can raise $8,000 to be able to cover the cost of repairs from the accident and also get a newer car. If you can help with any amount of money, it would be greatly appreciated! I have never asked for help from any kind of go fund me, but now I am in a real bind and could use some help. I pray that I can continue to serve with others. Thank you so much!
