Someone stole Victoria’s bike
Donation protected
This is my daughter, Abigail and her friend, Victoria. Their friendship is based on a common goal. They both are triathletes who compete in the Special Olympics. Abigail doesn’t focus on Victoria as a girl with autism and Victoria doesn’t focus on Abigail as a girl with Down syndrome. They see each other as friends who love to swim, bike, and run together. Sadly a few days ago someone stole Victoria’s bike so she can no longer compete with her friends. To make matters even worse Victoria’s mother is a single parent who does not have the savings to replace the stolen bicycle. Unfortunately, we see this type of financial hardship a lot. It can be heartbreaking! For many families with a loved one who has a disability, it is often impossible to pay for all the costs of equipment and transportation that must be paid in order to compete in athletic events.
Our goal is to help Victoria and other athletes with disabilities have the financial support they need to stay active while leading happier and healthier lives.
The first $1000 will go towards getting Victoria a really nice bike (and a lock ). All additional funds will help pay the expenses for other athletes with disabilities to participate in sports. Please donate what you can and I promise you it will help brighten a special athlete’s life!
