Somer's Journey: Facing Cancer with Courage

Hello everyone!

THANK YOU for caring and taking time to read our story. My name is Randy and I have never done a fundraiser like this before, so I appreciate your understanding and patience, but this is NOT about me, rather my beautiful and amazing niece, Somer.

Somer is a self-employed, single mother who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is very strong, competent, and selfless, always putting the needs of others before herself. It is our hope and prayers that everyone who reads her story will be touched and convicted to help in any way possible. Any and every donation matters but more importantly, the action of participating, the compassion and empathy for someone hurting, scared about her future, her family, her home - this is why this fundraiser is happening. It is my hope you will feel the sincerity of this matter and the need to help Somer, to come alongside her during this journey and shower her with love, compassion, empathy, and most important, provision. Provision so her basic needs including her medical and mortgage can be met during this difficult time.

Let me introduce you to a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Someone who is always ready to help others, no matter what. So, when we were recently given the news that Somer is battling breast cancer, I found myself perplexed and confounded by how many health and financial issues she has had to endure her entire adult life. As a mother and parent, you never want to see your children hurting and would gladly take their pain but unfortunately, that is not the case as much as we wish it to be. We will continue to ask God for His healing power as well as a financial miracle to help Somer pay her bills and take care of her family.
