There's Something About Mary

Everyone who knows her LOVES her! Yep. That's our Mary. Born Mary Francis Blackburn, God created an angel on earth who has dedicated her life to helping others. The best gifts in life come in small packages, and Mary is proof of that.....a petite and fiery red-headed Irish woman and active single mom of a precocious 12 year old son, she possesses a "never quit" positive attitude toward every obstacle she faces.


A former licensed family therapist who literally saved countless lives and marriages, Mary had to give up her beloved practice 8 years ago when she was diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductile Carcinoma which began in her breasts, then spread to other parts of her body and ultimately required her to undergo multiple surgeries, including removal of most of her colon and other organs where the cancer metastasized. Her cancer evolved into Neuroendocrine Cancer, but this dynamo has miraculously outlived her life expectancy by three plus years due in large part to her own tenacious research into non-traditional means of treatment.

The one treatment that has helped her immensely is an actual virus injection which has had extraordinary success in Latvia with neuroendocrine cancer patients, but is not yet available in the U.S. Mary is ready for stage 2 of that treatment which costs $9,000 for a 6 month supply of the virus, and she must fly to Latvia in 10 days to commence therapy. Her air fare is handled, but she desperately needs help with the high medication cost which is not covered by insurance.
