ENG: An online musical festival to raise funds for SARA, the largest animal shelter in Lanzarote. Like almost everything else here and everywhere, SARA’s ability to help the homeless cats and dogs of Lanzarote has been devastated by the Covid pandemic. Modelled after the successful fundraiser of 2020 by the group Lanzarote Musicians United benefitting EMERLAN, Songs For SARA will be an online livestream music festival on Facebook and other platforms, May 15 2021. The event will take place for 8 hours, beginning at noon Lanzarote time, with 3 to 4 artists per hour performing. The program will include interviews and other stray-animal information as well. Lanzarote resident artists will be featured, but with some international participation, and hopefully with diverse languages and musical styles. 

ESP: Una recaudación de fondos musical online para el refugio de animales SARA, llamado Songs For SARA. Como casi todo aquí y en todas partes, la capacidad de SARA para ayudar a los gatos y perros sin hogar de Lanzarote se ha visto gravemente afectada por la pandemia de Covid. Debido al bloqueo y a las restricciones del Covid, SARA se ha visto especialmente devastada por la escasez de voluntarios, el cierre de los mercadillos para recaudar fondos, las tiendas cerradas con huchas y la ausencia total de visitantes que, de otro modo, dejarían donaciones. A SARA le cuesta 20.000 euros al mes atender a los más de 400 animales que allí cuidan. Siguiendo el modelo de la exitosa recaudación de fondos de 2020 del grupo Lanzarote Musicians Unite a beneficio de EMERLAN, Songs For SARA será un festival de música online transmitido en vivo en Facebook y otras plataformas el 15 de mayo de 2021. El evento tendrá una duración de 8 horas comenzando al mediodía, hora de Lanzarote, con la actuación de 3 a 4 artistas por hora. El programa incluirá también entrevistas y otras informaciones sobre animales abandonados. Se presentarán artistas residentes en Lanzarote, y con alguna participación internacional, y esperamos que con diversos idiomas y estilos musicales. 

DEU: Eine musikalische Online-Spendenaktion für das Tierheim SARA unter dem Namen "Songs For SARA".  Wie fast alles andere hier und überall, wurden auch die Möglichkeiten von SARA, den heimatlosen Katzen und Hunden auf Lanzarote zu helfen, durch die Covid-Pandemie stark beeinträchtigt. Durch den Lockdown und die Covid-Beschränkungen wurde SARA besonders durch einen Rückgang der Freiwilligen, die Schließung von Spendenmärkten, geschlossene Geschäfte mit Sammelboxen und das völlige Ausbleiben von Besuchern, die sonst Spenden hinterlassen, in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Es kostet SARA 20.000 € im Monat, sich um die über 400 Tiere zu kümmern, die dort betreut werden. Nach dem Vorbild der erfolgreichen Spendenaktion von 2020 der Gruppe Lanzarote Musicians Unite zugunsten von EMERLAN wird "Songs For SARA" am 15. Mai 2021 ein Online-Livestream-Musikfestival auf Facebook und anderen Plattformen sein. Die Veranstaltung wird 8 Stunden lang stattfinden, beginnend mittags Lanzarote-Zeit, mit 3 bis 4 Künstlern pro Stunde, die auftreten. Das Programm wird auch Interviews und andere Informationen über streunende Tiere beinhalten. Es werden Künstler aus Lanzarote auftreten, aber auch einige internationale Künstler, hoffentlich mit verschiedenen Sprachen und Musikstilen.
