Sonia Rivera’s Funeral

A very warm thank you to everyone who has contributed to help cover the cost of Sonia’s funeral. We are extremely grateful and blessed by your generosity. Sonia is very happy. Again our deepest thank you.

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Sonia Rivera. She died peacefully in our home in New Jersey, on August 3rd.

She was one of the founding members of the Valentinos and a former member of Little Isidore and the Inquisitors. On the Latin side, she was also the founding member of Joey Pastrana and his orchestra. I know a lot of people out there knew Sonia and adored her.

We are struggling to come to terms with this unexpected and devastating loss. In addition to the emotional toll, Sonia’s remaining children are facing significant financial challenges in covering the cost of the funeral. If you can contribute in any way no matter how small, it will make a difference and would mean the world to us.
