Sonia "Papi" Ventura's Breast Cancer Journey
Donation protected
The last thing I ever thought was that I would get breast cancer. Life has a way changing in the blink of an eye. I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago and went through a double mastectomy. I am currently still recovering from the surgery. But have started my chemotherapy. After my chemo, I will be going through radiation also. I am feeling ok, but my hair started to fall out the first week. Therefore, I decided to buzz it all off and not go through the daily trauma of watching it fall out.
This is very difficult for me to do, but this journey is becoming very costly. I have had to humble myself and accept the help that my friends and family have been offering me. My friends have stepped up and convinced me to create this page for others to show their love and support towards me through this journey. This is clearly something that could happen to any of us and I do not wish upon anyone else.
My friends are having a fundraiser event for me on December 15th, 2019. It is the "$50 for Papi" fundraiser. But, since many cannot attend, they decided to create this page as a means for those that cannot attend to make their donation. I am hoping to see as many of you in December. I will be finishing my chemotherapy on December 5th, 2019. I will have 10 days to try and feel better before seeing my friends and family gathered to support me. In the meantime, please continue to pray for me and keep me uplifted.
I want to thank each of you in advance for your donations and may God bless each of your forever.
