Support for Post-Transplant Medical Care

Hello, my name is Leah. I’m seeking help for my mother who is recovering and enduring several medical issues. She was blessed to receive a kidney transplant last year after 5yrs on dialysis. We were all excited but didn’t realize the financial drain it would pose on the family. My mom is unable to work and although she was able to get some disability she used all of her savings just to survive. She is facing eviction if she is late again paying her rent in May. On top of facing eviction, there was an increase in her cost of medicine averaging $550/month. She has 9 prescriptions she fills just for her kidney along with her insulin,insulin pump supplies and high blood pressure medication.

In addition to the transplant, she received a recent diagnosis of Charcot’s Arthopathy of the left foot (basically deformity of the foot). This is a result of years suffering from neuropathy. Her doctor has limited her mobility in an effort to save her foot. We will need to hire someone to assist her in getting around.

Our mom will give her all to help anyone. Now, we are asking for someone to help her.
