Help Sophia Bisbee compete at Freeride World Champ
Donation protected
Sophia Bisbee has been skiing since she could walk. She joined the Mad River Glen Freeski Team shortly thereafter and quickly found her way to podium finishes. Over the years she has been steadily climbing the international rankings. This season is off to a great start winning her division (15-18 year old) at a Junior East Regional competition held in Stowe, Vermont.
Last year Sophia was invited to the Region #2 territory (North America, South America, Canada) National Championship only to have the event canceled due to COVID. Disappointing for all athletes! To help ease the pain, points carried over to this year giving everyone broader consideration for the 20-21 season. Due to Sophia's combined success over the last few years, she has been invited to the Freeride Junior World Championship in Verbier, Switzerland beginning March 30, 2021. The World Championship includes both Region #1 (Europe) and Region #2 territories.
Competing on this world stage will be an experience of a lifetime… and a costly one. Sophia will be taking her coach (and Dad), Chris Bisbee to support her on this journey. Funds raised in this campaign will be used exclusively for this trip including airfare, car rentals, lodging, meals, lift tickets to prepare for the competition, required safety gear, COVID travel precautions, etc.
We are asking for your support to give Sophia the opportunity to compete at this elite level. Our fundraising target date is March 15, 2021.
Thank you for considering a donation of any size...it truly takes a Village and is greatly appreciated.
