SOPHIAS CASE

My daughter Sophia Soraya Farah passed away on Jan 6th, 2020.  She was a healthy, beautiful, smart, active two and a half year old. When she got sick we immediately took her to the hospital knowing that there was something wrong with our baby. Instead the reaction we got from the hospital was downplayed- that this was an ordinary flu and to consistently give her Tylenol and Advil to suppress her fever. We were denied all testing and antibiotics, even after persisting multiple times. Sophia came into the hospital lethargic, with a high fever, discoloured eyes, puking green vomit, and an extremely high heart rate for a lethargic child. We trusted the health and well-being of our child with the people who are supposed to protect us and guide us in ways that we do not know how for our children. A few days following the doctors advice, Sophia passed away in her sleep laying next us. The pain and suffering that we face every single day is a type of pain no parent should ever feel. Our lives have changed forever, nobody can bring our baby back to us. Sophia passed away from Strep A that turned into Sepsis, an overwhelming bile infection and pneumonia. Please help us in making a difference and to bring justice for our daughter Sophias’ death.
