Sophie is in dire need of life saving surgery

My name is Paul Tilly, and for those who know me will know that I have a long track record of giving of my time and money to animal welfare and rescue; in Zimbabwe, in South Africa and now in Competa, Spain. Apart from having 13 of our own rescues, I volunteer for one registered animal welfare organisation, and serve on the Board of another registered animal welfare NPO. I have been feeding 54 local stray and feral cats every day for the past 5 years.

Sophie, who you see in the photo above is only 4 months old. Sadly, she has been born with a rare anomaly called Ectopic Ureterocele that makes her impossible to control urination. This causes her to be constantly incontinent, in addition to being susceptible to suffering urinary and skin causes.

She needs a consultation with a soft tissue surgeon who needs to evaluate her case and perform a CT scan to see if her anomaly can be fixed, if so, the hospital will be able to give us a price for the surgery. This test is quite expensive and, unfortunately, the owner can’t afford the whole amount.

We believe in fighting for each case before considering it lost (especially when the problem is “only” economic), she’s young and has a whole life ahead to enjoy and be happy.
