Sophie Seun & Cole Arbuckle

On March 31, 2022 the Arbuckle and Seun families suffered a great tragedy. Sophie, her mother and her two children were in a horrific car accident near Lake Okeechobee. They were t-boned by a driver that blew a stop sign without braking going at a high rate of speed. Sadly, Sophie’s mom was killed as a result. Sophie and both of her children were trapped in the vehicle and all sustained injuries resulting in them being taken to separate trauma hospitals in the middle of the state. Fortunately, after multiple surgeries both children are at home and slowly recovering. Sophie, however remains in the hospital with a broken pelvis, broken arm, fluid in her lung resulting in having to have a chest tube placed. She has already had to have three surgeries to try and repair her broken bones. As you can imagine not only the physical pain they are all experiencing but also the emotional turmoil of the accident and the devastation of losing her mother and their grandmother in such a sudden, tragic manner.

Since the accident my son, Cole has not left Sophie’s side and has not been able to work as they are 2 1/2 hours away from home. I have started this GoFundMe as a way to help and support this young family as they go forward in the difficult days ahead. Due to the nature of Sophie’s injuries it will most likely be a long time before she can return to work. Day to day expenses with raising three young children, building medical bills and an unplanned funeral to plan will be overwhelming.
