The Sorge Family
Donation protected
March 30th, the Sorge's were involved in a car accident. They were on their way to church, and while stopped at a red light, were hit from behind. All 4 family members were in the car at the time. Matt and Anna sustained minor injuries. Anna was taken to the hospital and released a few hours later so she could go to the kids. Matt went with the kids as they were rushed to the hospital with severe head injuries. The first responders took immediate action and took great care of everyone. Both children were admitted into the PICU and tended to by a wonderful team of nurses and doctors. Broderic's injuries were less severe and he was able to return home 6 days after the accident. Matt is home with Broderic helping him recover and keeping him relaxed and comfortable. Isabella's injuries were more severe and she will remain in the hospital for a much longer amount of time to recover. Anna remains at the hospital with Bella. She has a long road to recovery ahead of her, but there is positive progress everyday. It is a miracle that they are all still here, as the outcome could have been much different. They are taking each day, one moment at a time and feeling greatful that they get to continue those moment together. Currently, there is no knowing when life will return to normal. Matt is playing the most important role he has right now, however, that means he is not at work. The hospital bills are going to be unimaginable, and that is one extra thing this family should not have to spend their worries on. If we, their family, their friends, their village, can come together during this incredibly difficult time and support them any way we can, please reach out. Asking for help is never easy, but this amazing, wonderful, loving family needs it now. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as well as the driver of the other vehicle.
