Hello everyone,
I will first thank all of you for taking the time to read about my husband and my families situation. My husband and I have been together for over 18 years and the entire time I’ve known him to be a hardworking man. He would wake up early to work at his roofing job and come home super late. I lost my job a couple months ago due to COVID and have been my husbands caregiver 24/7 since he came home. My husband Sergio is the most helping, selfless, hardworking man I know. He loves working, loves being able to provide for his family. My husband Sergio got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a couple of years ago and he began to lose weight rapidly. Months went by and what we thought was just a cold/flu turned out to be active tuberculosis. By the time he was diagnosed he could no longer work and hasn’t been able to work. He was admitted for over two months at Scripps hospital Encinitas. He spent his birthday alone in his room on Oct. 8. When he was discharged from the hospital it was a complete shock seeing him. He was different. His muscles had completely atrophied and we was just bone and skin. My husband can not walk or sit up. He can not eat. We have to feed him through a tube in his stomach. My husband has a long road to recovery but now that he’s home with me and all his loved ones I know he can get his strength back. He is the strongest man I know. Any donation is extremely appreciated and we will forever be grateful for all of you.
