I am a 2 spirit, Mikmaw community member. I am a water protector and land defender. I try to walk in a good way and have been on the red road for a long time.

I am an animal rights advocate, and my mom and I run a self funded palliative care cat rescue out of our home.

Those of you who know me know that I have been off work for Illness and injury. I am still healing in many non linear ways and raising my baby, Aluk. Over the last year my benefits have been cut multiple times. First was my health benefits, then a financial cut from 55% of my salary to 50%. We were always able to budget and eek by. I have been looking for ways to supplement the loss but haven’t been able to find anything sustainable. Last month my disability was cut once again down to 45%. Aluk and I are now in danger of losing our home. We are already staying home to save gas and using food banks when we can. I don’t have cable, and I have the cheapest cellphone plan. I have also cut absolutely everything possible to reduce our financial needs.

If we could get enough to keep us safe for the next few months it would give me time

to start a side business of some kind to help supplement our needs.

I have many skills and I’m willing to do so many things. If folks need shoveling, house cleaning, doula care, nursing care, animal care, etc I would love to connect!

As a single, 2spirit parent I need to keep my baby safe and stable. I hate that capitalism has taken me to a point where I need to ask for help. This is not easy for me. I hate feeling like a failure.

I also will be having some painting days with Aluk and would love to offer his work for any donation!
