SOS! ReOpen the Clinic after Vandals Smash & Grab

Tax deductible
UPDATE, June 24, 2023: We have great news, everyone! The perpetrator, the lowlife thief, who broke into The Fix Project Clinic, has been arrested and is in custody! He was caught, actually breaking into another business!

We more than doubled our original goal, and the money that you all have so generously donated will be enough to cover all of the equipment that he damaged and stole and to provide some additional security for the clinic. We are reading all of your messages, and we are so touched at how many of you gave and included notes of your own pets who have been helped by our clinic. We are so grateful for your support, and so honored to be a part of this amazing Long Beach community.

Update, June 13, 2023: Wow! Just wow! Everyone at The Fix Project is absolutely blown away by this outpouring of support from the community. We met and surpassed our original goal in less that 24 hours, and have now almost doubled it in just a day and a half.

The original goal was just to get the damage repaired and stolen equipment replaced. We have increased the goal now so that the clinic can invest in better security and also to fund an incentive of a $5000 reward leading to identity and prosecution of the person/persons who broke in, smashing the front door and window and stealing money and equipment.

Photo below of primary perpetrator; there was likely an accomplice.

It’s a terrible shame that one of two miserable humans can do so much damage to an organization dedicated to offering low cost veterinary services to a community in need. We want them caught and we know you do too.

June 12, 2023: Last night at 1:23am, 20mins after our vet left from her emergency surgery, someone threw a brick through our front door and our volunteer's van window and ransacked the clinic and stole thousands of dollars of equipment, including a whole new computer system. This is just the amount we need to get up and running again. We try to always help whenever we can. Now we need your help to reopen our doors and keep helping the animals here in the community.

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit The Fix Project dba Fix Long Beach, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

More information about The Fix Project dba Fix Long Beach: We have an enormous animal overpopulation problem in the United States. Thousands of animals (cats & dogs) are euthanized (killed) at county animal shelters each year. In Long Beach and Southern California, most of these animals are chihuahuas and pit bulls. By fixing (sterilizing) your animal, you will eliminate the chance of your pet getting pregnant or getting another animal pregnant. We have fixed over 5,000 animals since our first spay/neuter event in June 2013 and are already starting to see huge
