SOS! Save Our Skylar - Help her beat cancer

Imagine for a moment, you receive a call from the school nurse that your daughter is being sent home with a head and neckache - a seemingly mundane malady that one assumes will resolve quickly and uneventfully. Unfortunately, this was not the case last week for Robin’s daughter Skylar, a beautiful, energetic, and spirited 9-year-old who, if not in school, was often found cantering through the fields of Chatham on her favorite pony. Skylar’s headache was determined to be an aggressive tumor that had already caused considerable damage to two vertebrae and the base of her skull. A second tumor was discovered on her lumbar spine. Skylar has just come out of the first of her surgeries and has a long battle ahead of her, much of which requires her to be in Boston for treatment.

Skylar will need her Mom by her side throughout this war, but Robin doesn’t have a 9 to 5 job that offers family paid leave. As an equestrian trainer, if she doesn’t work, she doesn’t earn. Further complicating the matter – she has a barn full of horses that need to be cared for and fed in her absence.
