S.O.S. so We Can Continue Rescuing Dogs!
Tax deductible
You can make a difference by donating today to BARK Rescue CA.
We help reduce the overpopulation of homeless pets by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abandoned and/or abused pets to forever-loving homes. We currently have 12 dogs in our care, and while some dogs are in more need than others, below are the 3 dogs that need your help the most:
- Achilles: Our Foster found him on the street with a fractured paw that has been left untreated for a long time. His first checkup found more issues with his health, including some teeth and ear issues; this cost almost $1000. Our vet recommended that he goes to a specialist for his fractured paw, which he did, and it was found that he would need multiple scans of his fractured paw. This is estimated to cost almost another $1000. We are hoping that he will not need surgery, which would cost thousands of dollars. In total, $2000 of your donation will help Achilles.
- Apollo Chase: We saved Chase from euthanasia in early April 2022, after which he has had the worst luck in foster homes that were not willing to commit to him or train him. He has gone through 5 foster homes at this point, which is stressful for a dog. He is currently in our partner board & train facility while he's waiting to get adopted. Board & train costs almost $50/night + food. We have been posting about him all over social media, hoping to get an adopter for him who will commit to him and commit to training him, but so far no luck yet. Assuming we will still not able to find him an adopter that is a good fit by the end of the June, his board & train bill will be around $1600 for the month (and will continue to be that much until he gets adopted!).
- Kush: We saved Kush from euthanasia in mid-April 2022. We had him in a foster home for about a month when we assessed that he needed professional training so he could let his guard down around people. He is currently in the same board & train facility as Chase, waiting for his fur-ever home. Like Chase, his board & Train bill will also be around $1600/month until he gets adopted.
We love what we do (saving dogs), however we will not be able to continue saving dogs and taking care of the dogs we have saved without funding. If you cannot adopt or foster at this time, please consider donating to keep us afloat so that we can continue saving the above 3 dogs (and more)!
As we are a 501c3 organization, your donation can be considered for tax deduction.
We are also starting to send out monthly e-Newsletters, so if you'd like to read about updates from our organization on these dogs, and others that we've saved, please leave us a comment on your donation!
We and our rescue dogs thank you very much!
