Hey y'all,

It's Sosa or Eseosa, depending on where we know each other from, and I'm asking my community for help!

Since August 2024, I've been suffering from a neurological condition that leaves me unable to work. The neurological condition is suspected to be Functional Neurological Disorder, which is difficult to diagnose but has a high likelihood of recovery if treated correctly!

The disorder affects my physical and cognitive abilities: I can no longer walk for short distances without the use of a walker, and I cannot walk for more than 10 minutes at a time without great effort. My cognition is often foggy and I've been struggling to concentrate and remember simple things. I no longer have the energy to do any sort of physical task without taking long breaks, yet still overexerting myself. Right now, it would be impossible for me to return to my current job.

Right now, I'm in the process of getting a formal diagnosis, but because of long waiting times for the referral process, with our current medical system in Quebec, I am in a state of limbo.

I'm currently on unpaid leave from my work, and waiting on further appointments to apply for CNESST or temporary disability.

The goal for this fundraiser is to raise enough money for 3 months' worth of living expenses as well as the increased costs of navigating a newfound disability, such as: paying for transportation to/from appointments, extra therapy sessions, increased prescription costs, emergency private medical appointments, as well as using alternative healing methods (massage, somatic therapy, etc.)
