Save Our Services in Causeway Hospital!

Causeway Hospital is facing devastating cuts to it's services which will greatly diminish it’s ability to provide the high standard of care that we’re all used to.

The hospital's maternity unit has already been downgraded due to the transfer of births to Antrim Area Hospital and is now facing cuts to both Emergency and General surgery. We cannot stand idly by and watch as our hospital is stripped of essential services.

The absence of emergency surgery at Causeway is certain to impact the current standard of A&E and of other hospital departments over the next few years.

Previously, we collected 20,000 signatures on a petition to sustain the existing maternity unit at that time and we held two public demonstrations with hundreds of protesters outside Coleraine Town Hall.

We want to continue the fight and do everything we can to prevent cuts to our local surgical services. We will hold a massive rally on 7th December to protest against these cuts.

We will send a clear message to the Health Minister, his department and the Northern Trust that the people of Causeway Coast & Glens will not accept cuts to our local health services.

However, in order to win the fight to save our services, we can't do it without your help.
