I had never imagined that I would be writing to you requesting this. I am now in Germany, stuck 3000 air miles away from my daughters who are under suffocating fires!

Please help me by reaching out to supporters, and friends for my cause, and to help me get my family out to safety.

I am Ibrahim Ashour, I am a member of Catalyst 2030 from Gaza, I was a company co-owner, and a project manager at Islamic Relief France, Medicines Du Monde, Save Youth Future Society, and CCP-Japan. I am an alumnus of Atlas Corps- VLI Cohort 1, I am an alumnus of CCP program Cohort-2021 and I have invested all my credentials to helping others in Gaza, and now I am really in need of urgent support.

I left Gaza on October 8th, 2023 when the hostilities started hoping to reunite with family in Egypt on October 11th, 2023 the crossing was bombed, and my family lost their passports evacuating the crossing. My apartment next to Shifa Hospital was destroyed, my company next to UNRWA headquarters was destroyed, and my other apartment at my father’s house.

The location where my father’s house has been an active military combat area since December 5th, my father, step-sister, and step-brother who has a disability all killed by tank shelling in the area on December 6th.

I have no information on the three people who came to find shelter at my father’s house, they are a mother a daughter, and a son. The last time I knew they were alive was in early December 2023. The other daughter has been injured with no ability to be reached by paramedics bled to death on December 7th.

I was lucky that my father was able to save my wife, and three daughters and transfer them to another location in Khan Younis.

The remaining six families are scattered between areas in the Gaza Strip and they are bearing very harsh and challenging living conditions, they don’t have internet, electricity, or access to clean water and are prone to starvation.

My wife and kids are located in a tent in Rafah, I used all my connections in Gaza to supply them with food and good and relatively safe shelter and I have failed recently to grasp any contact with them. I am just hoping that they remain safe until I can reunite with them soon.

It was a hustle to reissue them new passports, since all governmental bodies are not working in Gaza, and thanks to friends in the West Bank, I was able to get them new passports and the passports are now in Egypt.

I am trying to get them to safety so that I can see them again, and for that, I have contacted the Qatari, Jordanian, Japanese, US, German, and Turkish Embassies to help me list their names on the crossing and none of them was helping me, and some embassies replied that they don’t have any legal responsibility to help me in my quest.

I still have one remaining option to get my family out of Gaza to pay the Egyptian coordination offices a lot of money to get them out of Gaza. The coordination fees for this paper and documents situation are 8,500 USD for every adult and 4000 USD for every child.

Meaning I will need 12,000 Euros for my Kids and 8,500 USD for my wife just to get them to safety in Egypt until the war is over. The total amount requested is 20,500 Euros, and 500 Euros for processing the entry visas to Egypt, transportation, and a 2-day stay in Cairo to process their papers.

I am requesting your support in saving my family’s life, with your contributions. Any contribution is valuable to be able to get them to safety. I rented an apartment for them in Egypt and looking forward to their exit from Gaza to the place I have prepared for them in October 2023.
