Sott'acqua Short Film - Gruppo FM8 NABA

Ciao, mi chiamo Giovanna Mascia e sono una studentessa di NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milano). Con l'aiuto dei miei colleghi stiamo realizzando un cortometraggio per riuscire a raccontare una storia a noi cara e delicata.

Il sogno è di riuscire a realizzare questo progetto e poterlo spingere oltre il suo primo scopo accademico.

I fondi verranno utilizzati per riconoscere il lavoro degli attori ma anche investiti per realizzare un prodotto di qualità con ciò che ci servirà a livello produttivo, di mezzi tecnici, di location, di costumi, di post-produzione e tanto altro.

OVERVIEW

SOTT'ACQUA è uno short film, scritto e autoprodotto da studenti dell’indirizzo di Media Design e Filmmaking di NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti di Milano). È un film che nasce dall’esigenza di riflettere sulla comunicazione, in particolare sul non riuscire a rapportarsi con gli altri come si vorrebbe, sul sentirsi incompresi e rifiutati dal mondo e dalla società che sembra accogliere tutti tranne noi.

TRAMA

Mattia, un ragazzo sordo poco più che ventenne, dopo una vita passata sotto l’ala della madre Monica, il suo unico tramite col mondo, si ritrova ad affrontare da solo la società quando lei muore improvvisamente. Dopo diversi tentativi fallimentari di inserirsi in una società che non ha i mezzi per comprenderlo, prende una decisione drastica che lo porta al ritorno in una condizione primitiva di pace che simbolicamente rappresenta la ricerca della madre perduta.

Hi! My name’s Giovanna Mascia and I’m a student at NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts, Milan). Me and my colleagues are producing a short film in order to tell a very sensitive story dear to us.

Our dream is to be able to realize this project and to be able to push it beyond its first academic purpose.

The funds will be used to recognize the work of the actors but also invested to create a quality product with all we will need in terms of production, technical equipment, location, costumes, post-production and much more.

OVERVIEW

SOTT'ACQUA is a short film, written and self-produced by students of the Media Design and Filmmaking group of NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts in Milan). It is a film that arises from the need to reflect on communication, in particular on not being able to relate to others as one would like, on feeling misunderstood and rejected by the world and by society that seems to welcome everyone except us.

PLOT

Mattia, a deaf boy in his early twenties, after a life spent under the care of his mother Monica, his only link with the world, finds himself facing society alone when she suddenly dies. After several failed attempts to fit into a society that doesn't have the means to understand him, he takes a drastic decision that brings him back to a primitive condition of peace that symbolically represents the search for his lost mother.
