Soul Fire Farm in the City - Home Gardens
Tax deductible
This fundraiser is no longer active. You can support Soul Fire Farm here: https://www.soulfirefarm.org/support/
In 2020 we are supporting 40+ families to build and care for home gardens in Albany and Troy, NY. Centering Black, Indigenous, and people of color, folks impacted by food apartheid, and survivors of mass incarceration, Soul Fire Farm will provide all of the materials and expertise needed for people to start growing their own food and medicine.
The cost of building and maintaining one garden is $500. Since the COVID-19 increase arose, the number of interested families has quadrupled. Please support!
As Fannie Lou Hamer said, "When you have 400 quarts of greens and gumbo soup canned for the winter, no one can push you around or tell you what to say or do."
Growing our own food and caring for our own communities is essential to our sovereignty. To free ourselves we must feed ourselves!
