Soul SHINE Service Project in Africa

Over the years SHINE Power Yoga and Yoga Heart Kenya have cultivated a close and loving relationship with Five Star School. SHINE Yoga Project, the non-profit side of SHINE Power Yoga, built the 2nd story to their school and created their community garden to provide fresh produce to the local community.
This year we will build 60 desks which provides space for 3 students per desk. This build will create space for 180 students. In addition to building desks, we will refurbish 8 classrooms that are in need of safe, fresh paint & basic rehabbing.
SHINE Power Yoga and Yoga Heart Kenya are also offering 30 scholarships to Kenyan teachers so they may attend our 3 day Leadership & Transformation Immersion in Nairobi. This is a monumental program that shifts participants' perspectives on their lives to provide deep healing & growth in all areas of life: physical, emotional and spiritual. These scholarships will be offered to local Kenyan teachers to elevate their leadership skills which will create positive ripples through their community.
Our goal of $50,000 will cover the costs of supplies to rebuild a school in Nairobi, pay skilled laborers to help us build, provide 30 scholarships to Kenyan teachers to attend Leadership Immersion and cover 10 guests from the U.S. to attend the service trip.
