Charity work with abandoned & orphaned babies-South Africa
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Mike & I work with a charity called Likhon iThemba, HOLAH (House Of Love And Hope)
Near Durban, South Africa.
I have been travelling there from England since 2017 & helping out at this amazing charity. But now I want to apply for a 3 year volunteer visa so I can really commit & support this amazing & much needed charity.
I am currently working & saving in England so I can move there to volunteer full time & this is where I would love some support. Since 2017 I have used all my savings to travel there & volunteer once or twice a year, but to get a long term visa I need some extra money to enable me to this. To be granted a visa I need to prove I have sufficient funds to live out there, & while I'm there I won't be earning any money. Luckily I'm a man of simple pleasures & don't need too much to live on. Any funds I raise through here will help cover things such as food, medical expenses, phone, visa etc. &
I need to prove I have around £6000 in my bank before I even get granted a volunteer visa.
In an ideal situation I would be able to save enough to buy a little caravan to live in over there, but I would need at least £1 - 2000 to buy one, so except that may be unlikely.
Please ask me any questions you may have & look on the charity Facebook or Instagram pages (see below)
I know it's not an easy time for people to be giving some random guy money so he can volunteer abroad. But those who know me have seen how much time, effort, blood, sweat & tears I have put in to this, as well as all my own money over the years. So even if you can spare a pound or 2 I would be so appreciative.
I also plan to do regular updates on social media of all the work the charity does & how I'm getting involved & helping.
Website.
Many thanks
