South Hurstville Colony
Donation protected
This colony was brought to my attention when a friend that works at a vet received 4 kittens, one of them being dead, the others barely hanging on. 1 more kitten has recently passed due to having a cleft palate. The other two are still touch and go. Going to the location, I found 5 hungry cats living in an industrial area. I was told by the locals they hide their new born kittens in trees and many have died over the years. The colony was surprisenly started by a single Ragdoll and her boyfriend, the big white Tom cat. The survivors are their daughters, a calico, tabby & grey/white young female. In these type of situations where the food source is surviving of the indistrial mens food scraps (mainly pizza and rice) the male cats usually eat any male kittens due to being a threat to his food, territory and women, I would assume this is why there are no male survivors. I am asking for these funds for I can immediately get these cats desexed to end the breeding cycle. I will have to trap and bring everyone home with me, for I can fast them before their surgeries and hold them for their recoveries. Please help me put an end to the breeding cycle and potentially get these guys forever homes!
