South Street Mall & Courts Mural
Donation protected
Hello friends! We are raising funds to add a mural to South Street. We are partnering with Massiel Grullón, a local Boston visual artist to add a pop of color into our part of Jamaica Plain. Our goal is $4,500 to cover the fee for the artist and supplies. Help us beautify South Street!
About Massiel Grullón
“Born in Fenway Boston, MA and an alumni at Boston Arts Academy, I got my bachelors degree in painting & graphic design at Montserrat College of Art in 2014. I now currently teach painting at Artists For Humanity in South Boston, MA. My bodies of works are mostly self-portraits. I paint myself because I am always by myself painting and I only know myself best. I can often be a chameleon at times so I paint myself in different looks. The mediums I use are oils. I also have an obsession with shapes so I enjoy round canvases. My work is influenced by traditional oil paintings, 60’s psychedelic and pop art. I love works by John Singer Sargent, minimalist Sol Lewitt, and Peter Max.”
