Help Dee, Michael, Mike & Rex Rebuild after Natural Disaster

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

On August 18th, 2024, a catastrophic event changed the lives of my mom Dee, my dad Mike, and my brother Michael Pierce along with their beloved dog, Rex. A dam upstream from their home in Southbury, CT, broke, unleashing a torrent of water that rose 12 feet inside their two-story house. The gushing waters washed away most of their home, belongings, tools, lawn equipment, washer/dryer and both cars, leaving them with just the essentials. They were rescued and evacuated by the fire department and police after being trapped inside their home at 1:30am this morning.

Thankfully, my Brother Michael was working at the nursing home that evening, otherwise his car might have been lost as well. However, he is now also left without a home to go back to.

My Mom Dee, my Dad Mike and my Brother Michael are known for their kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for their community. I grew up in this home and have made many memories here as well.

Now, my family need our help to rebuild their lives from the ground up. The funds raised will go towards:

Rebuilding their home: Ensuring they have a safe and secure place to live.

Replacing essential belongings: Furniture, clothing, and other necessities.

Purchasing new vehicles: To restore their mobility and independence.

Covering immediate living expenses: Food, temporary housing, and other urgent needs.
