Southern Leyte- Typhoon Odette (Rai) Relief

SOUTHERN LEYTE NEEDS OUR HELP!

Hi, my name is April Paulines-Sanchez and I am originally from the Philippines, but now living in Rockville, MD. I migrated to the United States in 1999, but I have never forgotten where I came from.

As you all may/may not know, Super Typhoon Odette (also known as Rai) slammed into Philippines recently.

Southern Leyte, my hometown, was one of the regions hit by the typhoon.

I'm EMPHASIZING the need for assistance in the Pacific Area of Southern Leyte, which includes the municipalities of:

Silago, Hinunangan, Hinundayan, Anahawan, Cabalian , St. Bernard,

Liloan, San Francisco, Pintuyan , San Ricardo ,Libagon , Sogod , Bontoc , Tomas Oppus , Malitbog , Padre Burgos , Limasawa , Macrohon, Maasin .

Many families are now left without food, clothing and shelter. We need your help in getting them their basic needs. Supplies/resources are also limited because certain stores were also impacted.

Your donations will be used to buy:

-food and drinking water (the most important)

-clothing

-hygienic products

-other basic necessities

It is devastating for hundreds of thousands of people, especially those who are in remote and coastal areas.

Any amount is very much appreciated, if you can. A little bit does go a long way!

I'm gathering a group of volunteers in my hometown who will be able to help with distribution. I already have contact with relatives who will be able to help with transporting food and water to my hometown municipality of Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte.
