Southern Oregon Santa

We are giving hope for the holidays for the displaced residents of the Alameda fire in Southern Oregon.  Over 100 families in Phoenix and Talent lost everything but the clothes on their backs when they fled their burning homes in September 2020.

For many, the situation has become extremely difficult.  English is not their first language and they are undocumented, which means help from official agencies will be limited or delayed.  Children, hard-working parents, and elderly family members are faced with the reality of a Christmas season without homes or the basics needed to get by-to give them hope and a new start in 2021.

They are humble.  They are hard working. And we want to make sure they know they're not forgotten.

We are a small group of volunteers who reside in Portland but used to live in Southern Oregon.  We are asking for donations to spread warmth this holiday season.  Our goal is to raise $25,000 to be distributed as gift cards to families who need it the most.

All the money donated on this site will go into a general pool.  Our team will purchase $100 gift cards from Target and Walmart for both essential needs and gifts.  Team leaders (Counselors from the Phoenix/Talent and Medford school districts) on the ground will help us navigate signups and distribution.
