Southgate Band Trailer Replacement
Tax deductible
At 2:47am last night, Southgate Band Boosters (Southgate Anderson High School, Wayne County) brand new 2021 trailer was stolen from the District’s Bus lot on Burns & Northline. The lock to the gate and the lock on the trailer were cut and none of the cameras were pointed at the trailer to get a clear picture.
The trailer had two winter guard tarps, their flat bed carts that tarps are transported on, as well as props.
All total, this is a loss of nearly $10,000 to our non profit organization.
Below is a photo of the trailer.
It is Black.
It is 8.5 feet by 20 feet.
It has a door on the side and a large door on the back.
I will also attach the two tarps if they happen to go up on marketplace please let us know.
What isn't well known outside of Southgate, is that this program is 98% funded through parental fundraising and the participant dues. Dues that cost upwards of $1000 per child to participate.
We saved up for many years to be in a place that we could purchase a larger trailer, and were able to do so in March of 2020. Then, like many other organizations, everything stopped. We were not even able to take our new trailer on its inaugural trip.
This wasn't stolen from the school district, it was stolen from the children of the Southgate Band Program.
Please contact us if you have any information regarding the theft of our trailer.
If the trailer is returned, we will designate any money raised to lowering the participants dues. We will also stop the fundraiser when the the amount to replace the trailer has been met.
Thank you for support!
