We are in a race against time to raise te £2,000,000 final payment required to complete the purchase of Southgate Mosque and Community Centre in North London. Our deadline is looming, and we desperately need your help!

Failure to meet this deadline will result in interest charges and penalties. The Southgate Muslim community, diverse and growing, is rallying together to save our Mosque, and we need you to join us!

OUR STORY

Southgate Mosque and Community Centre is swiftly emerging as a beacon of excellence for learning, service, and Islamic worship in North London, UK. This community-led project fosters diversity, nurtures tolerance, and aims to provide a multitude of services to the local community. Through grassroots fundraising efforts over the past year alone, our community has put an incredible £4.5 million towards the purchase of Southgate House, a unique and historic Grade II listed building in the heart of Southgate. With a storied past as a local brewery, the former residence of the Viceroy of India, and even a local secondary school, Southgate House stands as a testament to our local area’s rich heritage, and we are truly honoured to become a part of this story.

We are so close to fulfilling our vision to restore this special building and simultaneously provide a dynamic and groundbreaking facility for our growing community to gather, pray and serve. However with the deadline for the final £2,000,000 instalment fast approaching, we urgently request the support of the global community to join us in our final push to raise the remaining £500,000 and bring this amazing project to fruition.

Your contribution helps to directly secure the future of a vital institution that has already become a bustling hub of activity in Southgate for people from all walks of life. Our mosque hosts five daily prayers, vibrant youth clubs catering to all ages, enriching Qur'an classes, and engaging special activities such as writing, art and martial arts workshops. Moreover, our calendar is filled with events, workshops, and activities that bring families together and welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds.

Looking ahead, Southgate Mosque envisions a range of community and family support services, including marriage facilities, a preschool nursery, support for the elderly, and comprehensive educational facilities. In addition there is a planned extension of our weekly food bank, which currently serves 100 families, providing a crucial lifeline to those in need.
