Southlake PPE Drive
In Canada and all over the world, the healthcare system is quite overwhelmed. The people in the forefront of this pandemic battle are the most affected by this. The nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapist, SLPs, dieticians, healthcare aids, housekeeping staff, nutrition aids, porters, admin clerks are the most at risk for contracting the COVID because they literally look after patients. They not only risk their lives, but also, they risk the lives of their families.
I was one of the recipients of that excellent care. I beat the odds of COVID19. I have so many people to thank. Above all, I thank God for giving me my good health back and using healthcare workers as an instrument for my healing. As such, I would like to give back to HCWs who looked after me at my most critical stage. So we decided to start this campaign as part of my twins’ birthday celebration as an opportunity to raise funds for the healthcare workers so they can continue to provide care to those people who needs their help. We are still in the process of flatenning the curve, we haven’t really eliminated it yet.
Healthcare workers are risking their lives every minute they are at work, the least I can do is to contribute in a way to ensure they do not run out of shield. I am hoping you can join me in this cause. 100% proceeds of this campaign will be contributed towards acquiring personal protective equipment for the healthcare workers at Southlake Regional Hospital - the facility where I was hospitalized, the facility that celebrated my healing, the facility that is unceasingly changing lives of many, and the facility that is still in the fight against COVID.
I hope you can join me in this cause.
Every cent of your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all so much. God Bless.
