Marching Band Uniforms for GP South
Donation protected
After an absence of almost 30 years, the Marching Band at Grosse Pointe South High School is being rebuilt. Since its return, the group has performed in matching t-shirts and jeans... but with your help, we could be marching in brand new uniforms by 2016. Uniforms are an essential part of any marching band's appearance and performances, and our students have worked very hard to improve and grow the band for the last three years.
To all family and friends of the band, South alumni, and anyone who is interested... any donation you would be willing to make would be welcome. Or, if you wish to make a sizable contribution that is tax-free, you can send checks made out to "Grosse Pointe South Band & Orchestra" and include "marching band uniforms" in the memo. Please mail to:

From the mid-1980's until 2012, the Marching Band at Grosse Pointe South High School was discontinued. There was always a pep band at football games, but in 2013, the marching band made its return to South. The group has grown from 47 members in 2013, 52 in 2014, and 75 today (2015). The Marching Band is an essential part of our school, has grown in size every year, and has added so much to the school climate and atmosphere!
Thank you so much for your support, and Go South!
