SouthPark Fire: Help Family of Fallen Worker

We are reaching out to the compassionate Charlotte community to extend a helping hand to the grieving family of Demonte Tyree Sherrill, a devoted father of four who lost his life in a devastating fire in SouthPark. Demonte's desperate plea for help on Facebook Live broke the hearts of many, and now we have an opportunity to provide relief for his fiancée and young children during this difficult time.

Demonte, a hardworking resident of Charlotte and a native of North Kannapolis, tragically perished along with his co-worker Reuben Holmes while trapped on the sixth floor of the apartment building they were constructing. At the age of 30, Demonte had taken the job with an Atlanta-based door and window company to provide for his children, aged 13, 12, 10, and 5 years old.

The grief-stricken parents of Demonte, Onita Sherrill and Terry Campbell, are devastated by the loss of their son. Demonte's fiancée, Chrystina Stovall, is also mourning the tragic incident. As they navigate this painful journey, they require support from the community to help ease the financial burden left behind by Demonte's untimely passing.
