SovereigntyCamp 2020
Warriors of The Sunrise Sovereignty Camp 2020
The Warriors of the Sunrise are fundraising in order to raise awareness over ongoing issues of sovereignty and land defense.
The Warriors of the Sunrise are also raising money in order to purchase an RV which will be used by the Warriors of the Sunrise to travel to and between the two Shinnecock Territories known as West Woods and Shinnecock Neck. The RV will also be used to travel to other Indigenous Nations who need sovereignty assistance from the Warriors of the Sunrise. This RV will be the mobile HQ for the Grandmothers of the Warrior Society for events such as Sovereignty Camp 2020.
The Grandmothers of the Warriors of the Sunrise are in need of two ATVs such as a Kawasaki Mule in order to navigate the rough terrain at West Woods. West Woods consists of 80 acres of pristine woodland on the Peconic Bay and is the aboriginal territory of the Shinnecock Nation. West Woods is illegally bisected by Sunrise Highway pursuant to a challenged 1959 land theft by New York State.
