Gaucho Racing is a collegiate engineering team from UC Santa Barbara that competes in the Formula SAE Electric Competition. Each year, over 45 engineers design and build a Formula-style car from the ground up. This all culminates in June when we go head-to-head against 70 other university teams in Michigan.

While winning is important to us, our primary goal is to teach and provide hands-on engineering experience to UCSB students. Our team cultivates a new generation of engineers who are well-prepared for the engineering challenges that they face on our team and in their future careers.

Our team is entirely self funded, either through sponsorships, individual donors, or alumni support. Your support would help our team tremendously, allowing us to acquire the materials, tools, space, and software needed to build this car. You will also be supporting a plethora of students who will keep the lessons they learned and memories formed long past graduation. Additionally, Your name will be put on our car!
