Spartan Trifecta for the NSA

Tax deductible
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit National Stuttering Association, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. I'm a person who stutters and a NSA chapter Co-leader of the Huntington/Marshall University group in Huntington West Virginia. I started doing the "SPARTAN" obstacle course races a few years ago at the age of 51 as a way to challenge myself and to get into better shape. This year I have committed to doing the "SPARTAN TRIFECTIA." Starting on May 04, 2024. The Spartan Trifecta is three races in one weekend, a 21K with 30 obstacles on Saturday and a 10k and a 5K on Sunday with a total of 45 obstacles, for a total of 36K and 75 obstacles for the weekend. Sounds hard, daunting and maybe a little reckless for my advanced age but for people who stutter everyday speaking situations can be filled with "obstacles". The obstacles that I will be doing during the trifecta weekend, pale in comparison to the stigma, guilt, shame and embarrassment that people who stutter face. My goal is to raise awareness about stuttering and to help remove the stigma that people who stutter face and also to create an open discussion about stuttering. If you stutter, you are not alone.
