SPCA of Wake County

This fundraiser was created by Sonali Ratnasinghe, Saveena Ratnasinghe, Roshni Daruvuri, and Anvita Eranti.

The money raised will go to The Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals Wake County Inc (SPCA of Wake County). This is a non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of pets and people through protection, care, education, and adoption. As of last year, 4163 lives have been saved through SPCA of Wake County. This number can increase this year with your help.


They do this by providing people-focused programs that keep families and pets together, including spay/neuter assistance programs, affordable access to basic pet vaccines and preventative care, delivery of pet food and supplies for home-bound, low-income seniors, professional pet behavior assistance, disaster relief and response efforts, and youth education programs that promote empathy.


SPCA has changed the life of many pets. Ariana, a tiny puppy, was found hidden under a blanket at an intersection last December. She had to be put under 24-hour supervision in a Wake County SPCA foster home. With the support of SPCA Wake County and the people of the community, she was able to overcome a life-threatening disease, called Parvovirus, and has become a strong, healthy puppy again! They have fostered 1,300 pets, just like they did with Ariana. With your support and donations, SPCA of Wake County can continue to save many other animals in need!
