Special Agent Luis Infante Cancer Fund

In December 2023, DEA Special Agent Luis Infante was diagnosed with Stage 4 Oral Cancer. Luis is a devoted father of two beautiful little girls and has dedicated over 27 years of his life to public service as a law enforcement officer.

When Luis was first diagnosed, every doctor he turned to told him they have to cut out his tongue to save his life, leaving him on a feeding tube, unable to speak, swallow and taste.

With the help of Luis’ network of family and friends while running against the clock to find a non-surgical cure, Luis was able to make a trip from Miami to Chicago to be seen by an incredible group of doctors at University of Chicago Medical Center - the only hospital in the country that treats this cancer without surgery with similar survival outcomes. They put together a 6 month custom treatment plan designed to save his life and his tongue, which will require him to stay in Chicago for at least 6 months to receive the treatment.

The road ahead will be grueling and painful, but Luis is young, strong and in great shape and has an incredible support network of family, friends and colleagues who are helping him through this fight.

We (Luis’ family) are now raising funds for Luis to cover some parts of the treatment not covered by insurance, as well as transportation and lodging costs in Chicago for him and immediate family as he is undergoing treatment.
