Special Needs Classroom Set Up

Hi!

My name is Teffiney Worthy and I'm trying to set up my classroom for 2021-2022 school year. I am a Special Education Teacher working at DC Public Schools and I want to make my classroom a FUN and INVITING place for my students to learn. If you don't already know, on an annual basis teachers spend on average $1.6 billion dollars out of their own pockets, to set up their classrooms. While districts fund a small amount, this is never enough for any teacher and we are usually tasked with purchasing most supplies on our own. I’m asking my family, friends, and community for your support. This will mean a world of difference not only to my students but to my school community. Any money that I do not use will be provided to help my fellow co-workers set up their classroom for the incoming kiddos.
