Special Screening of 'IF' For Underprivileged Kids

ReelOutreach is continuing our work in 2024 and after a super-successful Godzilla x Kong event , we're working to take some underprivileged kids to a special screening of John Krasinski's new family film, IF, starring Ryan Reynolds. As always, we need your help to give them a night they’ll always remember.

In 2024 ReelOutreach remains dedicated to giving kids wonderful nights at the movie theater and bringing the joy of film all throughout the year. We started off strong with a special screening of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (pictures included), and even got Funko to assist with some great toys. It was a phenomenal way to start the year, but we're already looking ahead to what's coming next.

John Krasinski's latest film, IF, hits theaters this May and looks like a fantastic family film. In short, it seems like a perfect fit for our work and our families. Because of this, we've decided it will be the center of our second event of the year, which would lead us into the packed Summer movie season.

As always, we'll be working with local foster/kid-focused organizations to fill the seats at the theater we’ll be renting out for them to use. As we've done at previous events, we'll also be handing out concession stand gift cards to the kids in attendance, so they can get the snacks they want to enjoy throughout the film.

Due to how amazing our previous fundraiser went, we are able to lower our initial fundraising goal! We still gotta hit our goals, however, as prices (as with everything) continue to increase in our area, and we want to ensure we can bring as many kiddos as possible to the event.

Any additional funds beyond our goal will go towards our other upcoming events and general costs of running our operation.

At ReelOutreach , we believe that everyone deserves a night (or day) at the movies and that kids, who have no control over their circumstances, need it the most. Unfortunately, with rising costs for tickets and concessions, for many kids the enjoyment of sitting down to enjoy a film is sadly out of reach.

While many consider this a luxury, for kids in need it’s a chance to escape and feel normal. For those in foster care, orphanages, or group homes, the funding simply isn’t available for them to get treated to the movies.

As such, even a simple $1 donation is greatly appreciated and can go towards giving these kids the opportunity for something they may not normally have.
